How Our Dresses Are Made: Inside Our Madrid Atelier

"Made in Spain" shows up on every product tag we print, but it's worth explaining what actually sits behind that line — because it's the reason our pieces cost what they cost, and the reason they're built to outlast a single season.

Since 2012

Felipe Albernaz has designed and made luxury dresses in Spain since 2012, now worn by women in over 20 countries. The brand was built around a simple idea: conscious design and refined elegance don't have to come from mass production. Every piece is handcrafted in premium fabrics, pairing artisanal craftsmanship with a modern, sustainable approach to fashion — made to be worn, cherished, and lived in far beyond a single season.

What "Handcrafted" Actually Changes

Small-batch production means a pattern-maker and a seamstress are making real decisions on your specific garment — where a dart falls, how much ease a seam gets, whether a hem needs an extra line of stitching to hang correctly in a particular fabric. That's the difference you feel between a dress that drapes properly on a body and one that was optimized purely for speed of assembly. It's also why a size occasionally sells out and doesn't come back immediately — we're not holding a warehouse of every size in every color waiting to be shipped globally; we're making in smaller runs, closer to demand.

Why This Costs More — On Purpose

Fast fashion keeps prices low by maximizing volume and minimizing the time spent on each individual garment. We've made the opposite trade: fewer pieces, more time per piece, fabrics chosen for how they behave rather than purely for cost. The honest version of our pitch isn't "cheaper" — it's "worth keeping."

See It in the Pieces

You can see the construction philosophy most clearly in our tailoring — the Blazer Cropped White Wool and Ivory Tailored Suit both hold their shape through real structure in the shoulder and lapel, not just a stiff interfacing — and in fluid pieces like the Sheer Overlay Dress in Lime Green Chiffon, where the drape only works because the fabric was chosen specifically for how it falls, not just how it photographs on a hanger.
