Size Guide: European Sizing Explained

Every piece we make is cut in European sizing, which runs differently from US and UK sizing. Here's how to translate your usual size, how to measure yourself if you're not sure, and what to do when you fall between two sizes.

Size Chart (Women's)

EU US UK Bust (approx, cm) Waist (approx, cm)
XS / 34 2 6 80 62
S / 36 4 8 84 66
M / 38 6 10 88 70
L / 40 8 12 92 74
XL / 42 10 14 96 78

These are approximate conversions — garment construction varies piece to piece, especially between structured tailoring and fluid draped fabrics, so treat this as a starting point rather than an exact promise.

How to Measure Yourself

Bust: measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level and snug but not tight.
Waist: measure around your natural waistline — generally the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the belly button.
Hips: measure around the fullest part of your hips, roughly 20cm below your waist.

Measure over close-fitting clothing or against bare skin, not over bulky layers, for the most accurate read.

Between Two Sizes?

For structured pieces — blazers, tailored suiting, fitted bodices — we generally recommend sizing up, since it's easier for a tailor to take in a seam than to let one out. For draped crepe, jersey, and chiffon styles with natural give, sizing true to your measurements usually works, since these fabrics move with the body rather than holding a fixed shape.

Still Unsure?

Each product page lists the specific garment's measurements, not just the general size chart above. If you're shopping for a specific event and can't risk a size being wrong, contact us before you order — we'd rather confirm fit upfront than handle an exchange with a deadline bearing down on you.
